So it was announced this week that 30 jobs must go where I work. I have said for months now that if the opportunity came I would take my cash lump sum and go quietly.

So the time has now come around and I’m wondering what I could do with it all – pay off my loan, invest into my business, split it between Finlay and our new baby or let Rachel have 12 months off on maternity. So many choices!

Only a few more weeks to wait to find out whether my application for discretionary redundancy has been granted and then I’ll be laughing all the way to the bank!

In my time off I’m going to start a degree course via the Open University, studying Web Application Development, when I pass I’ll be Paul Stewart Cert Web Apps (Open)
